About Toronto Brain Health
Toronto Brain Health provides psychological and neuropsychological diagnostic assessments as well as treatment, including evidence-based psychological therapy and cognitive rehabilitation. All services are provided by doctoral level psychologists.
Conditions include:
- ‘Chemo fog’ or cognitive changes following treatment (e.g., attention, memory, initiation, planning)
- Chronic pain or symptoms which can be maintained by psychological stressors in whole or in part (e.g. headaches/migraines, chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, generalized sensitization / body pain)
- Adjustment to health and life changes
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Sleep disruption
- Trauma
- Fatigue
The diagnostic evaluation informs the treatment plan by identifying psychological, cognitive, and physical or neurological factors, posing barriers to recovery, return to work/ school, and to thriving. Treatment targets modifiable causes of symptoms, and compensatory strategies are considered should residual difficulties remain (e.g., cognitive symptoms in the context of neurological vulnerability).
