Emily Mrozinski holds an undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa and a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Toronto. Her experience working with concussion, post-stroke, and acquired brain injury (ABI) patients has honed her skills in managing fatigue and crafting personalized exercise plans tailored to individual needs. Emily also contributed to writing the Concussion Guidelines, aimed at helping patients and their families better understand the nuances of concussions and their recovery. Through this work, she gained valuable insight into Knowledge Translation, enabling her to make healthcare information as accessible and stress-free as possible.
Emily’s passion for exercise came later in life, reinforcing her belief that it’s never too late to try and learn something new. This philosophy shapes her approach to patient care, where she strives to make movement enjoyable and empowering. By incorporating her patients’ passions into their exercise routines, Emily helps them take control of their health journeys. Her time volunteering on the oncology unit at SickKids Hospital further solidified her commitment to compassionate, personalized care, recognizing the essential role that recreation plays in the healing process.
